During the month of October, craftsmen are already preparing to showcase their wares in preparation for Christmas’ Santa Sacks!
Markets have become the trend for people to visit. Many browse and enjoy the wares, while others use them as an opportunity to shop for their loved ones. A home crafted item has a different feel about it. One can palpably experience the love with which the product has been made.

Although not all items are inexpensive, especially as they may be labour intensive to create, some may be quite reasonable, allowing the shopper to build up a good few gifts.

There is something about the experience of a CRAFT MARKET that differs significantly to shopping in a mall. This is different from the commercial experience and certainly from online shopping.

The feel of a market is homely and relaxed while stall owners share friendly interactive communication with each other and those who visit their stalls.

The atmosphere is that of Christmas pending, which always puts joy and happiness into people’s hearts.

Running over 16 days, the market showcases the creations of over 180 stallholders from around South Africa, each chosen for their outstanding, high-quality products. Products are primarily handmade, but there are also a few Craft essentials and sought after imported items.

The church hall is decked out in cheerful Christmas decor, and the atmosphere is festive. Stop in at the market’s popular pop-up restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as decadent cakes and drinks to quench your thirst.
