A state of the art Conference Room with the most advanced technology, seats 12 people comfortably. An 8- button keypad (press and hold buttons) wall panel, devised by Alfratron, controls the drop- down screen, projector and amplifier. This literally happens with the touch of a finger.
The room has long window panels, allowing one to peacefully rest one’s eyes on magnificent manicured gardens with a Feng Shui feel of flowing water. Two adjoining rooms interleading from each door of the conference room flow to facilities ideal for refreshment breaks. Both rooms offer a fireplace and adequate display space for eats and drinks. A bar area with a well – designed “under the stairway” cellar displays availability of fine wines. As Durbanville is one of the arteries of the heart of Cape Town’s famous wine routes, one is spoilt for choice and this is evident in the cellar which adds its own charisma to the room. The other adjoining room offers comfortable couches and chairs in which to absorb one’s body and inhale the magnificence of the mansion. Persian carpets cover areas of floor space marking class and distinction.
Chairs and tables flow out onto the deck overlooking the courtyard. Peacefulness punctuates the ambience of this prestigious luxury guesthouse. Coffee machine facilities are on hand. Du Plessis has not overlooked a single detail in the lavish furnishings which are tasteful and elegant. The colours chosen complement each other, offering a sense of warmth and ease of engaging. The flow of the architectural design works beautifully. It lends itself to corporate team building and comfortable conferencing. After a day of exercising one’s mind, the super- sized swimming pool offers refreshing relaxation. Surrounded by tall Palm trees and inviting loungers, it is a haven of harmony.
One is also spoilt for choice when deciding on which restaurant to visit as many are located nearby, be it in the Tygervalley Shopping Mall or the main streets “just around the corner.”

This new guesthouse, being the baby sister of 5 siblings, is not riding on the success of its family; it has all the ingredients to succeed in its own charming identity.
It was evident that the guests enthused with passionate praise while mingling and simultaneously tantalising their taste buds. One can only compliment and congratulate Du Plessis on her new born and all that went into the conception to ensure that this will not only be an inspirational success story, but that the evidence of her efforts were indicative in the “baby shower” this evening. The Residence is already out of nappies and up and running. There will certainly not be any teething problems. May it deservedly grow from strength to strength.
